The board approved a motion for Jean Lillard to continue her term on the Recreational Facilities Authority. However, they are still looking for someone to serve on the Disability Services Board and they tabled the issue of appointment to the Water & Sewer Authority until next month.
The Embrey Dam resolution for fish passage by request of the City of Fredericksburg and a resolution to support the Dollars for Scholars program at Lord Fairfax Community College were approved.
The impending re-approval of the flood elevation maps done by FEMA and the Army Corps of Engineers for Sperryville which is coming up in a few months was discussed.
They also authorized County Administrator John McCarthy to look into the cost of a centralized phone system for the county offices.
A term as set out in the county code for the Equalization Board Term was approved. The term is from Jan. 1 to Aug. 28 and the board has until Sept. 15 to finish their case appeals.
The date for the September meeting is Sept. 3 and the fire and rescue expenses, the building and Extension reports and the minutes were all approved.
