Two burglaries, one at Hackley’s Store in Amissville and the other at Laurel Mills Store in Castleton, are under investigation by the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office.
Both incidents took place in the early morning of Aug. 1. A call came in from a resident going by Hackley’s Store that the door was open. When sheriff’s deputies arrived the door was open and it was determined that about $200 in small change, lottery tickets, a small radio, cigarettes and some other items were missing.
Only cigarettes were missing from the Laurel Mills Store.
