Mrs. Dot Mank of Charlottesville was visiting with friends in the county over the weekend. We were so glad to have her visit in our home on Sunday morning. She did a lot of volunteering here when she resided in the county. She is now very active in volunteering with the University of Virginia Hospital and other organizations in Charlottesville.
Our prayers are with Mrs. Mary Latham and Mrs. Jeannie McNear who will be having surgery this week.
Awards were given during the Sunday worship service at the Washington Baptist Church for participation in the Variety Show held recently. Bronze went to Rev. Phil Bailey for the Cowardly Lion, Bob Amos received silver for his Broadway performance, and Kenneth Hix was awarded gold for his portrayal of Dorothy in the
