Ernest McFarland, 72, of Culpeper, died on Feb. dl, at the Kilgore Nursing Center in Kilgore, Texas.
Born April 8, 1925 in Woodville, he was the son of the late Clarence and Minnie Katherine Fox McFarland.
His wife was the late Lillian Taylor McFarland.
He was retired from Bascom Rope Company of Houston, Texas.
He is survived by three daughters Ethel Moore of Orange, Kerry Lane of Lake of the Woods and Sandra Faye Toby of Fredericksburg; four brothers Richard McFarland of Culpeper, Dallas McFarland of Chantilly, John Henry McFarland of Warrenton and James McFarland of Culpeper; two sisters Emma Stanley of Manassas Park and Margaret Gore of Culpeper.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister Clara McFarland Settle.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 20 at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with the Rev. Henry Stanley officiating.
Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton.
Preddy Funeral Home in Madison was in charge of the arrangements.
Sterling Williams
Carpenter
Sterling J. Williams, 60, of Amissville died on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mr. Williams was born Sept. 11, 1937.
He was a carpenter.
Survivors include two daughters Kimberly A. Richards and Jacqueline V. Quarles, both of Culpeper; three sons Larry Twyman of Colorado, Anthony D. Williams of Linden and Rory Williams of Amissville; two sisters Pauline W. Carter of Crest Hill and Mathie L. Anderson of Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
