1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons shredded lemon peel 1/2 teaspoon salt In mixing bowl beat together egg, milk, cooking oil and lemon juice. Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, lemon peel, and salt. Add to egg mixture, stirring just until moistened. Pour into two greased loaf pans. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove from pans onto wire rack. Cool completely. Wrap and store overnight. Make two small loaves. Darlene Moore Flint Hill Apple Pie Apples 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon nutmeg 2 teaspoons butter Pie crust, unbaked fsee recipe below) Peel apples and slice very thin. Fill pie crust with apples until full. Sprinkle sugar and nutmeg over top and dot with butter. Roll out remaining dough and place on top of pie filling. Make four slits in top pastry with a knife. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until crust is brown.
