Charles Edward Holmes, 68, of Amissville died on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mr. Holmes was born April 7, 1929 in Amissville, a son of the late Irvin Hillary and Annie Mae James Holmes.
He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. Mr. Holmes was a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees.
He was predeceased by his brother John Holmes.
