Benefit dance scheduled
A benefit dance will be held at the Amissville Volunteer Fire Hall on Saturday, Feb. 28 beginning at 9 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Sharon Scott Fund. Music will be provided by Glen Drone and Grey Wolf. Proper dress is required for admittance.
Family dance party set
A swing dance will be held on Friday, March 6 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Marshall Community Center. Cost is $5 per person, soft soled shoes, no heels please and children are welcome. For information call 675-344
Golf lessons offered
Golf lessons are being offered at Viewtown General Store. Five, one hour lessons will begin Sunday, March 22 at 5 p.m. Dan Finnerty, a Nitro Senior Tour player will be giving the lessons. Golf clubs and balls will be supplied. Call Margaret or John Wiese at 937-9909 for information on cost and to sign up.
Benefit dance scheduled
The Creative Community Youth Council will hold its first fundraising event Saturday, Feb. 28 at Ki Theatre in Washington. Three bands will perform live music for a night of dancing and socializing. Local talent will be featured including The Daycare Swindlers, Please God and a mystery band to be announced that evening. The fun will begin at 8 p.m. and will continue until 12 midnight. A $5 cover charge will benefit CCYC’s efforts to provide leadership opportunities for area teens. Their next open meeting for anyone wanting to get involved in future projects will be held on Sunday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Mountainside Market.
