Among the special school activities planned for March 2 during the school day:
• High school and elementary school students will be transported to each other’s schools to share reading and book discussion activities;
• Central office administrators and building principals have volunteered to read to classrooms at both schools;
• The RCEA will award a gift certificate for a book purchase from Cabin Fever Books to one student in each of the 13 grades;
• The RCHS public speaking class will present an assembly highlighting dramatic, humorous and poetry readings and the many ways that reading is critical for excellent public speaking skills.
