,es wrote lyrics about why the RCHS Fight Song was “lost” 20 years ago! They were very humorous! Paul was accompanied by a wonderful singer, Diane Bardwell. RCES is fortunate to have these incredible artuts share their talents with our students.
• Many thanks to Headwaters and the School Council for providing a continental breakfast and lunch for staff members on the recent Inservice Day. This generosity afforded the staff the opportunity to give their undivided attention to the work at hand.
• The RCES PTO hosted a wonderful Pot Luck Dinner for staff from both schools on conference night. In spite of the snow, parents from grades one, three, four and six managed to deliver their promised dishes to the school in time to feed everyone. This is such a wonderful gesture and one that the teachers appreciate greatly. PTO President Jimmy Swindler was the chief dishwasher, and Mrs. Shannon Swain drove all the way back from her home in Culpeper County to help clean up. Many thanks to all of you who assisted in so many ways.
• The RCMS/RCHS Science Fair will take place at RCES WednesdayFriday, Feb. 9-11. If you are free and can stop by to view the exhibits, please do so on Thursday, or before noon on Friday. If you are a judge for the event, we are extremely grateful to you for giving the time to help with this worthwhile event.
• The first meeting of the Senior Banquet Parent Committee was held last week. This energetic group will assist the RCHS staff as they prepare to “roast” the graduating seniors in May. Many thanks to the staff and our parent volunteers for this very generous gesture. These are the kinds of efforts that make Rappahannock Public Schools special!
