Volkmar Lehmann, Meissen, Germany, and Stephen Von Fange, Woodville, both violinists and students at Rappahannock County High School, will perform at the Ki Theatre and the Gay Street Theatre, Friday evening, Feb. 11.
Lehmann and Von Fange will play several selections from their classical repertoire at the candlelight dinner and then will move across the street to entertain from 7:30 to 8 before the Italian movie, “Marcello Mastroianni: I Remember”. RAAC will also provide light refreshments after the movie in the lobby and adjacent parlor so movie patrons will have an opportunity to meet the young artists.
Volkmar Lehmann, a Youth for Understanding guest in Rappahannock County, is living with the Rev. and Mrs. Jennings W. Hobson and their family while he attends Rappahannock County High School this semester.
Lehmann, the son of a Lutheran minister and his wife, has studied violin for eight years at a music school in Meissen, near Dresden, Germany. Both of his grandfathers played violin and his favorite composer is Vivaldi.
