Counselor training in Mach

If you arq age 13 as of Jan. 1, 2000 and you are interested in being a counselor in training at any of the 4-H camp programs, please register to attend the Teen and Adult Leader Training at the 4-H Educational Center the weekend of March 3-4 at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center. RAA spring registration set

Rappahannock Athletic Association has set their Spring 2000 registration for tee ball, softball and baseball. Schedule is as follows: Saturday, Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bill Payne Auctions in Amissville; Saturday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library and Saturday, Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bill Payne Auctions in Amissville.

Fees are $35 for 12 and under and $40 for 16 and under. There is a $5 discount applied to each additional family member registering to play ball. A late fee of $15 will be applied per child registering after Feb. 26. A late fee of $30 will be applied for each child registering after March 26. All new players signing up must bring a copy of their birth certificate to registration. RAA will provide each player with a team hat and shirt to be kept by the player.

Workshop scheduled

A Super Sitters 4-H workshop will be held on Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rappahannock Extension Office. A minimum of five people must sign up or this workshop will be canceled. The workshop is geared toward teens between the ages of 12 and 19 and will teach them about proper babysitting, first aid for children and proper foods for children. Call the Extension Office at 675-3619 to sign up as soon as possible.

Walk-in clinic days set

Walk-in clinic for immunizations, pregnancy tests, blood pressure checks, etc. will be held Feb. 15 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and Feb. 22 from 1 to 2 p.m.

General clinic for women’s health, family planning, well baby check, school physicals will need an appointment. Scheduled date is Feb. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

WIC, women-infant-child nutrition will need an appointment. The date is Feb. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. For more information call Melinda Beach RN at 675-3516.
