The residency is partially funded by a generous grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, Artist-in Education Program. This is a matching grant that requires at least a dollar per dollar match of the funds by the community and school system in which the residency occurs.
The funding match is being provided by the school division, the Curriculum Enrichment Program, the PTO, and a Headwaters MiniGrant.
The community is encouraged to mark this date and plan to attend “Making Waves.”
