It is well known that people who have some sort of religious connection are happier than those who do not worship as a group. According to a poll recently conducted by the National Opinion Research Center in Chicago, 45 percent of those who attended religious services several times a week described themselves as being “very happy.” On the other hand, only 25 percent who attended less than once a month considered themselves to be happy. Believing and praying together in a supportive atmosphere helps to foster a timeless perspective on life.
