I hope you are enjoying the respite from the snow and cold weather. There are a lot of exciting things going on this week, so I will get right to it.
First up the youth of our county enjoyed a youth rally at the Amissville United Methodist Church on Sunday, Feb. 6. There were around 150 people in attendance from seven area churches. The AGAPE Praise Band performed praise and worship music and Pastor Kent Willoughby brought the message to our youth.
There was a time of fellowship afterwards and refreshments were served. Thank you to the Methodist church for hosting this event.
Also, starting Feb. 12 the Viewtown store will be open for a new group to meet called '‘Youth Alive”. The group will meet every other Saturday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Contemporary Christian music and bible study will be the focus for the youth. Kent and Mary Jo Willoughby at 937-4929 and Dwayne and Joyce Willoughby at 937-5210 are the contact people if you want more information.
There will be subs, pizza and drinks for sale after the meeting. This should be a fun time and learning experience for the youth of the county. For your information, youth are ages ten and up. ; On Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. the Amissville Baptist Church Iwill have its annual Valentine banquet. The cooking, entertainment and baby-sitting will be provided by the youth. jBring your sweetheart and a dessert.
The Amissville Area Community Assocation will •meet on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at ithe Methodist Church. The guest speaker will be Don Audette. The agenda also includes a draft budget and
