An accident Feb. 4 near Amissville resulted in an estimated $4000 in property damage. Skipper Jeffries, 26, of Bealeton was driving a 1991 Ford on Route 642 when he hit an icy spot on the road. He lost control of his car, sliding off the road and striking a utility pole.
Jeffries was not injured. Damage was estimated at $2000 to his vehicle and $2000 to the utility pole.
