to facilitate a solution to the E911 database problem. As reported last month, Bell Atlantic’s customer database, used by the E911 system to provide physical addresses for telephone customers, has not been updated adequately, and has an error rate of roughly ten percent.
Compared to Sprint’s cooperative attitude and a database error rate of approximately two percent, local officials are less than pleased with Bell Atlantic, and hope that Friday’s meeting will lead to more cooperation and an improved database from Bell Atlantic.

Mr. McCarthy presented a site plan and exterior elevations for “Additions to and Renovation of Offices, County of Rappahannock: Treasurer, Commissioner of the Revenue and Registrar of Voters.” These plans, prepared by Dwight Matthews, Architect, of Flint Hill, depict additions of approximately 900 square feet to the Treasurer’s office, and of approximately 1300 square feet to the Commissioner of the Revenue and Registrar of Voters office.
These plans eliminate the connection between the two buildings shown in the first draft; a change designed to save some of the space used for ramps in the first iteration, and that may save the county in construction costs.
