Gray Ghost Adieu
wins Double Gold
Gray Ghost was awarded a Double Gold medal on the Adieu (Late Harvest Vidal, dessert wine) in the Amenti del Vino International Wine competition, continuing the winery's international and national recognition. To receive a Double Gold medal the wine must be rated gold status by every judge on the panel.
Only 12 wines were awarded the Double Gold honor. This prestigious international competition received 556 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
In addition to Double Gold, Gray Ghost received a Silver on ttle Cabernet Sauvignon and Bronze medals for both of Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc. Only 39 percent of the wines entered received accolades.
Gray Ghost has been awarded over 20 medals in international and national competitions since the first of this year. The winery can be contact at 937-4869.
Cheerleading tryout
meeting set
Kim Atkins, coach of the RCHS Girls cheerleading program, will host a meeting on Monday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria. All RCHS girls grades 8-12 interested in trying out for this years JV and varsity cheerleading teams should attend.
