Mountainside Market. I noticed it had dark purple berries on it, sumrrter before last, and wondered out loud what they were, and if you could eat them. A little girl of maybe six years said they were juneberries and that they were good. I foolishly wondered how they got their name- and the little girl rolled her eyes and said "because they come out in June, silly!".
As it was in fact mid June, I chose not to question her expertise on this matter. I count myself lucky she just called me silly.
Elderberries are still a number of weeks off- so there are still opportunities for the procrastinator- although they are best when dried, and aren't very tasty fresh.
