Rapidan Better Housing has received funds to set up a handicapped ramp lending program for moderate and low income families who cannot afford a ramp. "We build a lot of ramps" said Cindy Reid, Program Coordinator for RBH. "Most are built using pressure treated lumber, they're expensive and time-consuming to build and they're heavy. Very often the need for the ramp is short-lived, and these wooden ramps are nearly impossible to move and recycle."
