of Charlotte, N.C. and William R. Owings IV of Madison; three step-children, John Owings and Molly Owings, both of Chatham and Ross Smith of Reno, Nev. and a step-great-grandson, Colton Smith of Seattle, Wash.
The Owings family were former residents of Rappahannock County, where Mr. Owings served as the Rappahannock County Extension Agent. They resided in Old Hollow.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 29 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery conducted by Rev. Brian Wagner.

Kent Jenkins
Stone mason
Kent Robinson Jenkins, 45, of Luray died July 31 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
He was born March 6, 1955, a son of Etta Bell Jenkins of Sperryville and the late Jimmy Robinson Jenkins.
He was a stone mason.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Kathy Alther Jenkins of Luray; a son, Eric Robinson Jenkins and a daughter, Brandy LeAnn Jenkins, both of Luray.
Additional survivors include a bother, Lawrence Allen Jenkins of Sperryville and two sisters, Julia Ellen Jenkins of Madison and Dorothy Ann Jenkins of Sperryville.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. John Burke. Interment was private.
