Later on in the editorial you further imply that Mr. Longyear "unfairly savaged" a candidate for the School Board in the last week before a past election. It doesn't seem as though he can get his timing right as far as you are concerned!

If Mr. Longyear should go on to win his party's nomination and the ensuing election, I'm sure the Rappahannock News won't waste any time hailing him as "Rappahannock's own." I know I'd feel proud that someone from our little county had won the delegate’s seat. From my reading of these articles I'd say you are, at this point, in favor of his opponent, I wonder why.
