The Junior Varsity girls had one of their best outings of the season as they fought hard before finally falling 30-22 against Brentsville's JV Lady Tigers. Lara Kreyling led the JV Panthers with nine points.
On Tuesday, Oct. 17 the Lady Eagles came to RCHS for what was to be another tough loss for the Rapp girls. A close game from start to finish, the Lady Panthers gave up an early first quarter lead and could never get back on top. When the horn sounded the Lady Eagles had won their third game of the season 5146. Coach Dayton said, ' We had our opportunities, it was our game to win. We just didn't make the shots when we had them."
Gwen Johnson had a season high 22 points with three 3-pointers from outside the arch. Amy Clinedinst added eight in the losing effort. The Junior Varsity girls had their hands full as the Clarke County JV squad started five sophomores. The Lady Panthers had a tough night and fell 47-16.
On Thursday, Oct. 19, the girls' basketball teams traveled to Madison to face the Lady Mountaineers in the third game of the week. Again the Lady Panthers had a complete game, but could not get their shots to fall. The final score had Madison on top 4940.
Gwen Johnson had another terrific night with 19 points, playing the power forward position. Amanda Weakley had 11 points in the contest. The Junior Varsity faced another sophomore loaded squad as Madison started five and had two more on the bench. Their experience showed as they beat the JV Panthers for the second time this season 47-12.
