Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Sadie Johnson Ficklin of Washington; a son, Bruce Alan Ficklin of Chandler, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Anderson, Mrs. Estelle Jeffries and Mrs. Flossie Malachi and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 1 at St. John Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington. Interment was at Cedar Hill cemetery in Suitland, Md.

Jeannette Eloise "Peggy" Bennett, 66, of Luray died Oct. 16 at her residence.
She was bom Sept. 4, 1934 in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Carroll Franklin Long and Edythe Elizabeth Baker.
She and her husband, Walter- E. "Eddy" Bennett owned and operated Eddy's Gift Shop in Luray and had contact with many Rappahannock customers over the years.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 20 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray with tTie Rev. Max W. Fisher officiating. Burial was in the
