clef in his conscousness regarding the relationship between the government and the people. This "us/them" mentality is disturbing. Hopefully, Bush won't be elected, because, by his reasoning, as the government, he would be untrustworthy. Trust him on this one.
Government is the people: the people are the government. The care and thought we put into the process of electing our government comes right back at us. Our choice this election is between the government we need and the government we deserve.
We need A1 Gore, because he has spent a lifetime struggling with the most troubling issues of our nation. Among many things, he has prepared himself with a thorough and comprehensive understanding of what has come to be the the most critical issue of our time, perhaps the most critical issue in history, global warming. Contrary to what Bush beleives, there is lot of information available, and it is all very, very troubling.
We were in a total panic during the Cold War, because of the possibility of destroying the planet. Unless we make some big changes, it's guarranteed now. Global warming's not even on George Bush’s radar screen, or Dick Cheney's, or George Allen's.
We could clean up America's environment " until every square inch sparkles and still suffocate in everyone elses' waste. So, should we give in to polluters and turn a perilous future over to the Grand Oil Party? George Bush has difficulty with geography. Much less does he know about the governments, the political systems, or the people he will have to deal with to solve a problem he barely knows exists.
