Class of' 75 to meet

Destination: Buck Hollow Trail/Buck Ridge Trail Loop, meet at Mountainside Market, 987-9100 on US 211 west of Sperryville between 8 and 8:30 a.m. and return early-to-midafternoon...Bring water and snack and wear layered clothing suitable to weather of the day. Saturday, Nov. 11, Moonlight Hike of Old Rag Mountain,, meet at Mountainside Market, west of Sperryville by 5 p.m. or, upper parking lot of Old Rag on Nethers side by 5:45 p.m. Return time ??? Not an adventure for whiners. Bring layered clothing, (especially windbreaker), water and food, small flashlight or headlamp. Hike leader: Hunt Harris.
Winter coat drive coming
The Amissville Baptist Church is having a winter coat drive on Nov. 4 from 10 a m. to 1 p.m. Anyone who needs coats, hats or gloves may come to the church and receive them for free. For more information call 937-5622.
4-H fund raiser underway
The Rappahannock County 4-H program is conducting the fall fund raiser in cooperation with Avon products. Money from this fund raiser will be used to purchase project books, project pins and support materials.
Halloween Rest planned
The Rappahannock County Schools Sports Association is sponsoring Hungry Run Farm's fourth annual Haunted Barn and a children's costume contest and “Ghoulway" to raise money for Rappahannock County School Athletic programs on Oct. 27 and 28. Festivities will be held at Hungry Run Farm on South Poe's Road outside of Amissville. Follow signs from US 211 or from Route 647 out of Flint Hill. Refreshments will be available. The gate will open at 7 each evening and close at 10. Cost is $5 for adults and children 6-12 will pay $4 and under six will get in free. Family discounts available.
Shooting match every Friday
A shooting match will be held every Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company. Rules are: 12 gauge shotguns, only restriction 36 inch barrels and 25 yards. For additional information call 937-4110.
Yoga with Lilo
Do you want to be more flexible and feel better physically as well as mentally? Join us. Yoga with Lilo will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Call 675-3584 for more information.
Aerobic classes underway
On-going aerobic classes are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:15 to 9:30. A total body workout which includes 30 minutes of low-impact aerobics, floor work, weights and yoga stretches. For information call Beth Levick at 635-6149.
Craft bazaar planned
A Christmas craft bazaar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Culpeper United Methodist Church. A continentaJ breakfast and lunch will be served in the fellowship hall. Baked goods and other homemade foods will also be available for purchase. Shopping will include all sorts of crafts and Christmas items for both family and friends.
