Marion Winik, author of several memoirs and longtime contributing commentator on NPR's "All Things Considered," joins Sallie Morgan, Joyce Abell and Peter Hornbostel this year at Ki Theatre’s annual storytelling ^evening, "From There to Here,” on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8 ,'p.m. ' Winik has been called "mistress of the pithy sentence” by 'the Washington Post and, ' though her stories concentrate 6n the familiar events of life, 'she is always unpredictable, humorous and revealing. She was designated a Rappahannockian-by-marriage a year and a half ago when she became Joyce and Richard Abell s daughter-in-law. This summer she strengthened her Rappahannock ties by giving birth to the Abells’ granddaughter, an event which will be part of her narration at Ki Theatre. Winik’s forthcoming book, "Rules for the Unruly," is due to appear next spring as an original paperback.
