begins a process that •inevitably leads to further development. Successive projects will be justified, in part, by previous approvals for similar developments and before Song our beautiful county is destroyed. JJ£ If this sounds like an 3|larmist, one need only venire to our neighboring counties to witness the blight ^wrought over time by well jneaning applicants and compliant planning commissions. «The destructive process is slow but it is sure.
I believe the good people of Rappahannock County are at a “crossroads”. Are we to be simply another county in succession to fall victim to the perils of poorly managed growth or are we to be uniquely different? The question is upon us and the environment we cherish is indeed 'in' the balance.
