In 1981 she moved to Falls Church and in 1989 to Old Tbwn Alexandria.
She died at home in the presence of her surviving children and grandchildren and near her great-grandchildren; her son, Michael McGee; her daughter, Sharon McGee Labovitz; her grandchildren, Erin Susan Peck and Tara Catherine Lloyd and her greatgrandchildren, Ian Churchill Lloyd and Sofia Augston Lloyd.
A private family burial was held.
