Cliff Miller, Chair of Headwaters Educational Initiatives Committee, spoke to the Board about the State compos-; ite index for Rappahannock and its effect upon the school budget,' as well as some of the commit-! tee’s proposed initiatives. These: comments will be treated in & separate Rappahannock News article to be published in next week’s edition.
• The Board approved an RCES field trip to the District of Columbia that had been denied initially because of the 9/11 events.
• The Board also approved, subject to RCHS Principal Perrine’s final review and approval, a senior trip change from Myrtle Beach to Virginia Beach requested by David Massie.
• Assistant Superintendent Jack Raines reported on donations including $1000 for the Professional Growth Endowment Fund from eleven County individuals and families, a 1986 Saab from Mr. Tisera, books from David Means, and an offer of funds for music enrichment jointly from Curriculum Enrichment and Kid Pan Alley, from their sale of the ‘‘Tidal Wave of Song” CD.
