Finally!! The Welcome to Amissville signs appeared this weekend on US 211. They are the design that the community chose over two years ago. They look very nice and I was happy to finally see them.
Again, our community has lost another historic person. Mrs. Irma Lawson past away this last week at her home on US 211. Mrs. Lawson was one of the oldest members of our community and she knew the history of Amissville. She will be missed by all of us. Sympathy is extended to her family and friends.
The Amissville United Methodist Church has set their Easter activities as follows: Palm Sunday service at 11 a.m., Maundy Thursday service at 7:30 p.m., Good Friday Tenebrae service at 7:30 p.m., Easter Saturday egg hunt at 2 p.m. All are invited and have •the children bring a basket « Easter Sunrise service will "be at 5:45 a.m. at the church and Easter morning service at 11.
