The Essence of the Plant and Animal: What is a plant? What is an animal? Is a plant a conscious, sensate being? This will be an evening lecture, March 29 addressing the nature of the whole plant and animal from an anthroposophical or spiritual-scientific point of view.

• Tree and Plant Identification: We will explore the character and ecology of many local trees and plants. Evening lecture and field work.

• Forestry and Wildlife Management: This will be a twoweekend workshop for private landowners and students. It will provide guidance for managing your woodlot for any objective — timber, wildlife or scenery.

• Bird Identification: The basics of bird ID, with a series of hikes to observe migrating hawks, colorful warblers, secretive owls and woodcocks in courtship.

• Water and Water Life: We will investigate the archetypal forms of flowing water, and water as the basis for life forms on earth. And we will explore the astoundingly plentiful animal life in a mountain stream.

• Wild Animals: Finding, observing, calling and getting to know the secretive animals that are all around us.

Again, your responses now are important! They will determine which classes will be offered.
