The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection will host a discussion of the “easement process” as the third in its Winter Series of programs beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18, at the Library.
RLEP Member Bob Dennis will facilitate the session.
Members arid the public are cordially invited to attend, ask questions and learn about the value of easements for protecting Rappahannock County’s rural character, natural resources and scenic beauty. The general business session will follow this program at 8 p.m.
Property owners in Rappahannock County have protected over 20 square miles of the county’s land area. As of the beginning of this year, 12,946 acres, about 1000 acres short of 10 percent of the total available land, was preserved and conserved for future generations.
