PURSUANT to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Sectionl 5.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at seven-thirty in the evening in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, in order to consider the following application;

Jackson District) desires a Special Use
permit for the purpose of operating a
motorcycle, ATV and parts sales facility
in an existing retail location (old Amissville
Post Office). Applicant currently
conducts motorcycle accessories sales
from facility. Use allowed under Section
170-36E of the Rappahannock County
Code; additional standards under Section
170-66(1) of the Code.
No applicant or other party in interest, and no attorney for an applicant or party in interest, shall initiate a contact with a member of the BZA for the purpose of conduction a private discussion, in person or by telephone, concerning the merits of any application, appeal, or other matter pending before the BZA. No member of the BZA shall participate in any such private discussion. Site visits or similar contacts initiated by BZA members shall not constitute such ex parte contacts.
A copy of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia. and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Said application will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at seven-thirty in the evening at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 17055, if any. The above-named applicant, adjacent property owners, and any other parties desiring to be heard should be present at said meeting or should address their written comments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, c/o P.O. Box 519, Washington, Virginia 22747, in advance thereof.
