Dr. Patteson to
speak on Colon
Cancer, Therapy
On Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the social hall of the Washington Baptist Church, the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society has invited Dr. Thomas E. Patteson III to speak on “Colon Cancer Screening and Therapy”.
Dr. Patteson, in private practice in Front Royal, is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and Board Certified for Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He trained at the Medical College of Virginia.
The American Cancer Society has named March Colon Cancer Awareness Month in hopes of educating the public, particularly men and women over the age of 50, about the importance of lifesaving colon cancer screening. Early detection and effective therapy make this form of cancer a preventable one.

Tenth District Congressman Frank R. Wolf will hold a series of town meetings throughout the 10th District March 23-27.
Congressman Wolf will be in Rappahannock on Tuesday, March 26 at 5 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library on US 211 near Washington.
