The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary met at the fire hall on March 4 for their first meeting of the year. Plans were made for the annual banquet to be held on April 27.
Those in attendance were Lucy Foster, Mary Curtis, Margaret Lee, Mary Frances Bywaters, Arland Welch, Gaynelle Russell, Mary Blaisdell, Mary Latham and Lois Markee.
Lenten services are being held in the Washington Baptist Church each Wednesday evening through March 20. A covered dish dinner begins at 6:15 p.m. followed by the worship service at 7 p.m.
Other churches participating are Trinity Episcopal, St. Peter’s Catholic, Reynolds Memorial Baptist, Flint Hill, Willis Chapel and Sperryville United Methodist. Plan now to join the fellowship.
The United Methodist Women will meet on Monday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mary Curtis.
Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Lillard at White Post on Sunday were Mabel Lillard, Judy Smith and Jean Lillard.
Easter Sunrise services will be held in the Flint Hill United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 31 at 6:30 a.m. Following the service a breakfast will be held at the fire hall.
This breakfast will replace the regular third Saturday breakfast. The pastor, the Rev. Merlin Shorb invites the public to join them.
