Rappahannock County High School is beginning a new program of student internships thanks to the financial assistance of Headwaters, the county Educational Foundation.
Headwaters received a $44,000 grant to fund the program which will help place high school students in internships with local businesses. Plans are underway to offer these opportunities beginning in January.
A community forum entitled, Student Internships—Opportunities for Students and the Community will be held on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. Parents, students, business leaders and community members are encouraged to attend and learn about this exciting partnership Panelists will include Mr. Roger Mello, Mr. Mick Strand, Ms. Mary Arthur and Mr. Richard Smith.
School Counselors, Mrs. Danni Pond and Mr. Jason Gochenour will be assisting interested students and parents.
