Representative to visit County

Mrs. Donna Crowley, a representative of Congressman Frank Wolf, will visit the town of Washington on Thursday, Nov. 21. Mrs. Crowley will be available to talk with constituents who need assistance or have problems of a Federal nature, such as with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, etc.

Citizens are also welcome to express their opinions on matters of concern, particularly national topics or issues before the United States Congress. Mrs. Crowley will be at the Rappahannock County Extension Office from 2 to 3 p.m. Constituents who want to make direct contact with the Winchester office may call Mrs. Crowley at 667-0990 or visit the office at. 110 North Cameron Street.

Former artist to exhibit

Former Middle Street gallery artist Lynnette Nicholas will exhibit recent watercolors at the Bocce Cafe in Scottsville during the month of December.

Ms. Nicholas mixes complementary colors, applying layer upon layer to create depth and dimension, distinguishing her from most watercolorists today. The show features the Blue Ridge in all seasons, and “Copper Beech Tree”, commissioned by Airlie House, Warrenton. The exhibit opens on Sunday, Dec. 1; the artist's reception at the Cafe is on Saturday, Dec. 7, 3-5 p.m. The public is invited.

Cutting-edge chiropractic care

On Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center will host Dr. Catherine Bourgeois and Dr. JoAnne Towne, who will offer a free one hour presentation and demonstration of how the body can learn to release physical, chemical and emotional stress on its own using Network Spinal Analysis.

Exhibition at Middle Street

“Nostalgic Imagery”, a showing of recent oil paintings by Linda Lawler is currently on display at Middle Street Gallery in Washington and will be available through Nov. 24 Middle Street Gallery is located in Washington and hours are Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 675-3440.

Clinic will be open Nov. 20

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local ojaeration of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Nov. 20 and not again until Dec. 4. Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Public Health Department Building.
