On Saturday, Nov. 16 the Rappahannock County Cub Scouts will hold their annual turkey shoot competition at the Flint Hill fire hall grounds.
Beginning at 11 a.m. there will be a cookout with parents from each den bringing a covered dish. At noon the competition begins with judging in four categories.
The arcade which is shooting at a set of five milk jugs involves distance and craftsmanship and creativity since the bows and arrows have been handmade and decorated by each scout. The prize for each den winner will be a frozen turkey and of course the admiration of their peers.
