in two to three years we will raise up skilled individuals ready to offer their time for the glory of the Rappahannock County High School Band.

RCHS was number 35 in the line up for the parade.

As usual, the line up went smoothly. Nicole Hess and Krystal Heflin (our drum majors) lined us up precisely.

We had a veteran, Holly Long, who came all the way from Vermont. She came to support and assist us.

The parade was awesome. I was moved to the judges’ side and I was ready to put my skills that I had mastered into motion.

My first year as a baritone player was going incredible, once I memorized the music.

There were times that my thumb got numb and fell asleep, but I didn’t let it phase me.

People from the crowds ere earnestly asking for our school name.

The hats are unique and they really distinguish our band from the others.

Although you might be thinking my day in downtown Woodstock as jolly don’t get the wrong impression.

I had my shares of experiences, I don’t know how to explain it, wait I found the word, “torture” matches the description.

When I say this, I mean I have the whole band right behind me on this, ready to back me up when needed.
