Born Oct. 24, 1924 in Culpeper, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Bertha Rena Jenkins Worth.

She had worked as a secretary for electrical contractors. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include a son and his fiance, Terrence “Terry” Read and Anita Severe of Pleasant Valley, Md.; sisters, Jo Ellen Crane of Winchester and Dorothy Warga of Georgia; granddaughter, Angela Lynn Read and tw’o great-grandchildren.

Ms. Cooper was predeceased by a brother, William Worth and sister, Mary Lee Goff.

Graveside services were conducted on Friday, Nov. 1 at Washington Masonic Cemetery by the Rev. Lynn Wilbur.
