Special to the Rappahannock News r * With the football and parade season winding down, the band is now gearing up for their concert session. ■ Along with many seasonal -events, they will be performing their winter concert on Thursday, Dec. 7 beginning at 7 p.m. in the RCHS auditorium. In addition to festive pieces, the band will be playing some jazz selections with a guest conductor DaRon Walton, a music student at Shenandoah University.
With a grant from Headwaters, Mr. Dalton will come to RCHS for two days in November and run a “Jazz Workshop” with many of the band students.
The band boosters will be also be selling raffle tickets the night of the concert.
They will be raffling ofT many delicious desserts from local area restaurants, as well as a beautiful Christmas wreath to be donated by the Rappahannock County Garden Club as well as several other wreaths. Come out
