• Assistant Superintendent Jack Raines reported that computer equipment was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gillespie and by James Paulson, a 1976 Pontiac was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Terry Dodson, a 1994 Ford Aspire was donated by Jack Ciolfi, and $250 for the RCPGE fund was donated by Stan and Tbni Ebner.
• Mr. Raines also reported on the following coaching recommendations that were approved by the School Board: Rhonda Jenkins (Jr. Panther Boys Basketball); Susan Payne (Jr. Varsity Girls Volleyball); Jim Wells (Varsity Wrestling); Phillip Herzig (Assistant Varsity Wrestling); Mike Weir (Jr. Panther Wrestling); Gary Settle (Varsity Boys Basketball); Mike Leake (Jr. Varsity Boys Basketball); and Brooke Miller (Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball).
• Ms. Williams solicited public input on next year’s school budget. She said that input was requested on what the schools need, on what should be kept in light of impending budget cuts, and on what should be kept.
• Student representative Henry Robertson reported that there will be a homecoming dance on Dec. 12. He also told the Board that high school students had been polled on the need for a salad bar and that more than 300 students said that "they would like and would use it." RCHS Principal Roger Mello responded by noting that Food Service Director Judi Burke had said that prepackaged salads would be a first step and that the cafeteria is now offering the salads as well as baked potatoes.
