Mr. Konick, an expert in tax law, corporate law and estate planning, has opened an office at Porter and Gay Streets in Washington.

Character members of Amissville Ruritan Club were honored at a special meeting last week and wer" awarded attendance pins. Celebrating 16 years of perfect attendance were John Lawrence, Eddie Hitt, Aubrey Curtis, Charlie Priest, Robert Hitt, Gilbert Lawrence, Roy Mills and Edward Lawrence.

A photo featured a long cutline which indicated that fairies danced at midnight on the lawn at Stonehaven, home of Mr. and Mrs. George Muth and the following morning a circle of mushrooms sprang up to mark the spot. Folk legend is as good a way as any to explain the perfect circle, approximately six feet in diameter, that the Muths found in their front yard on Monday.

Nov. 25, 1992

Featured in a front page photo several county ladies were working on a hand quilted queen-sized sampler to raise money for the Child Care and Learning Center. The quilt will be raffled and those sewing diligently were Susan Parrish, Becky Parrish, Rose Ann Sharp, Ann Miller, Susan McCarthy and Kay Miller.

Ellen C. Manson of Washington is the new Volunteer Coordinator of the Hospice of the Rapidan. Ms. Manson is a Masters prepared psychiatric nurse with many years of clinical and administrative experience. She is a stress management consultant and has worked with volunteers in the Emergency Services for the past 17 years.

Ki Theatre has received a $2,000 grant from the American Dialogue Grants program to fund their 1992 Crossroads Columbus Day Weekend celebration.

Alumni, parents arid friends are invited to the 20th anniversary celebration at Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly on Nov. 28.
