The Amissville Ruritan Club is starting to take orders for their annual fruit sale. A 40 pound box of Ruby Red Grapefruit or Naval Oranges is $19 and a 20 pound box is $11. If you would like to place an order contact Roger Poe at 937-4273 or Charlie Priest at 937-4072. The fruit sale is the start of our annual fundraiser for the Christmas baskets. Help support the Ruritans and all that they do for our community.
Did anyone see Davey Torrance on television on Friday Nov. 15? Camille Racer and her son Jacob took 10 of Jacob’s pals to see the premier of Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets. Davey was interviewed by Channel 4 and 5 early Friday morning in costume as Ron Weasley. It was great of Camille to take all those boys for the night and early morning hours.
