In discussing the test results, interim school superintendent Mrs. Williams said that she "applauds the work of the students and teachers who have shown that they meet state standards for learning.

"Credit also goes to our leaders, such as principals in the schools, and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the School Board Office. Everyone working together, and everyone working with the goal of student achievement in mind is a sure way to meeting our goals," said Mrs. Williams.

In looking at the test results, Rappahannock Elementary School went from being fully accredited in 2000 and 2001 to its present rating of Provisionally Accredited/ Meets State Standards.
