In recent years, Virginians have dealt with snowdrifts, closed highways, freezing temperatures and prolonged power outages. This winter could offer more of the same. However, for those who take the time to prepare, the winter season can be just a minor inconvenience.
“When severe weather leaves residents without power, Virginians who are prepared will be better equipped to handle the disruption than those who chose not to prepare,” said Michael Cline, state coordinator for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
