Benefit dinner/auction set

The Rappahannock County High School Wrestling Team will be holding its second annual dinner and sports/celebrity auction at the RCHS Commons Area on Friday, Nov, 22.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. Menu items include baked or fried chicken, coleslaw, macaroni salad, chips, rolls, drink and dessert. The auction will begin at 7 p.m. All proceeds will be used to purchase a mat for tournament use and for practice of the Junior High Wrestling Team.

Community service planned

A community Thanksgiving service will be held Thanksgiving morning at 10 at the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church on Route 522 in Sperryville. The offering will be forwarded to Rappahannock's Department of Social Services for needs during the holidays. Rev. John Farrar will be the guest speaker. For additional information call 987-8137.

Representative to visit town

Chaz Evans-Haywood, a regional representative for U S. Senator George Allen, will be in Washington at the Rappahannock Library from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Senator Allen s representative will be available to discuss issues facing the area with constituents and to help anyone having problems with a federal agency. For more information, constituents may call Chaz Evans-Haywood at 540-4211394.

Reiki offered at Healing Arts

Reiki I and II Intensive with Kathy Edwards will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rappahannock Healing Arts Center.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The class is a combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, practicing self treatment, scanning others, using the Second Degree symbols and sending Reiki to others at a distance.
