One-day writing
workshop slated
On Sunday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Julie Portman will teach a one-day workshop called "Interviewing and Finding the Story". This workshop is part of a series that helps people to write and shape compelling stories from personal life experiences.

Middle Street to
host holiday show
As part of their 20th anniversary celebration, Middle Street Gallery in Washington is accepting works for their 2002 Christmas Show and Sale. The event focuses on the art of gift-giving, and runs from Nov. 30 through Dec. 30.
Past members are encouraged to submit their work, as well as new artists who have never shown at the gallery before. Submitted work will be juried by gallery members.
There is no entry fee, and a 40 percent gallery commission (30 percent for members) will be deducted from sales.
Deliver artwork to the gallery from Nov. 23 through Nov. 25, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Unsold work must be picked up by Dec. 30.
