• Mr Michael Vargo, headmaster at WCDS, and Mrs. Marsha Dowell, College Advisor at WCDS, joined other school officials last week at a seminar given at George Mason University on ACT testing for colleges. Although the SATs are more widely known by the public, the ACT exams are accepted by most colleges and universities, and are gaining a wide following among students as being more indicative of a student's true measure of learning. Interesting. Parents who are interested in testing dates for the ACT exam can call Mrs. Marsha Dowell at 635-8555.
• Although wet, the grounds at WCDS are looking great, thanks to the hard work of student Kevin Riedel, an eighth grader at WCDS. The mums he planted in time for Open House, as well as the mulch and weeding, freshened up the outside
