Bereavement workshop set
Hospice of the Rapidan offers free bereavement support groups to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one, with or without prior Hospice affiliation. A workshop entitled “Coping With Grief: Facing the Holidays When You’ve Lost Someone You Love" is now forming, designed to help cope with the stressful and emotional situations that can arise during the holidays.
The workshop is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 9 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hospice of the Rapidah Community Room. Pre-registration is appreciated. Call Craig Wilt, Bereavement Coordinator at Hospice of the Rapidan for more information or to register for the workshop. County artist to show in Orange
Margo Kren, an artist from Manhattan, Kan., will pair with Rappahannock artist Monica Newell for the next exhibition at The Arts Center in Orange now through Jan. 4. Both artists paint with acrylics and use collage elements, but Kren's work is abstract, while Newell's is figurative. The exhibit opens with a reception for the public on Nov. 21, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and the artists will speak about their work at 6 that evening.
The Arts Center in Orange is located at 129 East Main Street and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information call 672-7311.
Aerobic classes at Trinity
Ongoing aerobic classes are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8 to 9:30 a.m. For additional information call Beth Levick at 635-6149.
Windmore activities slated
Steel Magnolias continues this weekend at Culpeper Middle School on Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
Windmore will present How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Saturday. Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15. Times will be announced later.
